Credits are bought inside the app, in Settings — card payments are handled by Square, and nothing renews.

Buying from outside Australia? You'll be charged in Australian dollars. As a rough guide the tiers are about US$8 · C$11 · NZ$13, US$19 · C$26 · NZ$32 and US$38 · C$52 · NZ$63 (at 17 August 2026 rates). These are estimates that already allow for a typical bank conversion fee — your bank sets the real rate, so the amount on your statement may differ, and will more often be a little lower than the figures here than higher.

What counts as a call. One recording, corrected. The practice-suggestion button and the level check are free and always will be. A call that fails — a network problem, or a result we couldn't produce — costs you nothing; you get it back automatically.

"Tell me more" is free on the free tier. Your 5 daily calls are for speaking, so asking for a deeper explanation of a correction doesn't use one — three sentences and a follow-up question shouldn't cost you most of your day. If you have credits, a deeper explanation costs one credit, because it's a second question to the AI and your credits cover both.

How your free calls and your credits fit together. The 5 free calls a day are a floor, not a bonus: while you have credits, your credits are what's used, and the free allowance is what you fall back on when the balance reaches zero. Nobody is ever locked out — running out of credits puts you back on the free tier, not on a wall.

Credits never expire, and here's what happens if Soltura ever closes. There is no time limit on a balance — buy 5,000 calls and use them over three years if that suits you. If we ever had to shut Soltura down, we'd give at least 90 days' notice, during which your credits would keep working normally, and refund anything still unused on request.

Nothing of yours is deleted, ever, by us. Your history, garden and level estimate live in your browser, not on our servers — so no change to allowances or plans can take them away. Exporting a backup stays free whatever happens, and you can delete your account and all of its data at any time from Settings.

Languages. Over 50 practice languages are included, and always will be. Some are marked Beta in the app: they work, but corrections are less reliable than in the core languages and your device may not have a voice to read them aloud.

Levels are estimates. The CEFR-style level Soltura shows you is worked out automatically from your own practice, to help you see progress. It is not an assessment or a qualification and shouldn't be presented as one.

How payment works. Payments are processed by Square. Your card details go to Square and are never seen by us or stored on our servers. The seller is Timothy James Weston, sole trader, Queensland, Australia. Prices are in Australian dollars (AUD) and are the full amount charged — no tax is added at checkout. Approved refunds go back to the card you paid with. See the Terms and the refunds policy.

Soltura is free to use anywhere in the world. Credits are for when the free daily allowance isn't enough — there's no subscription, and nothing expires.
