The most widely-spoken languages give the fastest, most natural corrections. Some newer languages are marked Beta in the app — they work too, but feedback can be less polished. Tap-to-hear read-aloud is available in most languages; for a few less common ones it depends on the voices your device has installed.
Questions
Is my voice recorded or stored?
No. Soltura doesn't keep a recording of your voice, and we never listen to or review what you say. When you check a sentence, a short clip is sent only so AI can hear it and give you a correction — then the audio is discarded. We don't store the recording, and we don't see it. We also pay for the Google AI that does the listening, which matters: on the paid tier Google doesn't use your recordings to train its models either. Only the resulting text (your transcript and correction) is saved, in your browser. See the Privacy Policy for the full picture.
Will I be charged automatically?
No — there is nothing to charge. Credits are a one-off purchase with no deadline at all. No subscription, no card kept on file, nothing to cancel. If your credits run out you go back to the free 5 a day, and nothing you've practised is affected — your history lives in your browser, not on our servers.
What does it cost?
You can use Soltura free, every day, forever: 5 checks a day — no card and no account needed — plus 50 free calls that never expire when you add an email. Do I need an account?
Not to practise — that's anonymous, and always will be. You only give an email address if you buy something, because that's where the purchase lives and how it follows you to another device. It's your sign-in (there's no password), and you can delete it and everything attached to it from Settings at any time.
What do I need to run it?
Just a modern browser with a microphone — on your phone, tablet, or computer. You can also add Soltura to your home screen and use it like an app. Corrections need an internet connection.
